  • Zepplin Adventures by Rolf Marben pub in English by John Hamilton 1932 has a chapter [xix] on the L59's trip to and from Africa when based at this airfield . It notes a book by K.F.Koehler the meteorologist stationed here pub in 1925 titled Afrika zu unseren Fussen who also went on the flight of 6757 Km.
