LIC of India is the state owned largest Life Insurance company of India, and one of the best company in the world. In fact, going by the number of policies, LIC is the largest Life Insurance Company of the world. The curved building, named "Yogakshema", was inaugurated by Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru in 1961. Entrance is decorated with rarest wall murals by M.F.Hussain and Hebber.

By the way LIC is not only India's No.1 Life Insurance Company but also WORLD'S No.1 Life Insurance Company(in terms of No. of Policies) and its Life fund Exceeds Rs.14,00,000 crores as also its ASSET Base Exceeds Rs.14,00,000 Crores as on date.
