  • the place that everyone goes to visit Friday night. Despite the fact that this is a rather large city, the Mall is really the only good thing to visit. You can find all sorts of stores here, from chokingly smelly candle stores, to electronics. Fun place to be, if you're into social gatherings.
  • One of the Simon Mall managed properties, the Columbia Center mall has grown considerably since it was a "strip mall" in the '70s and '80s, and Macy's (then known as the Bon Marché) did not have an upper floor. Expansions of note include the food court in the early '90s, the Regal 8 cinemas (first THX theaters in the Tri-Cities) around 2000, and the recent "boutique" style stores between Macy's, Barnes & Noble, and JCPenney's. Interestingly enough, the building for the original movie theaters still stands in the far corner of the parking lot near Penney's.
