Despite its relatively modern look, the building dates back to the 1950s. In the late 1980s, the building underwent a massive renovation, which saw virtally all the walls removed. Using the remaining support columns, floors and ceilings, a new building was crafted. The original building's classrooms all faced the outside, with the "hallways" being outdoor walkways--rather resembling a motel. The new building featured central interior hallways.

There is a hidden room on the roof of the building, accessible from the second floor and a long set of stairs.
