July 28, 2017 in response to the July 27 US Senate adoption of a bill that toughens sanctions against Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry demanded that the United States reduce the number of their diplomatic and technical staff down to 455 people.
In view of the fact that earlier the US authorities, in violation of the Vienna Convention, had seized Russian diplomatic property in the US, Russia suspended the use by the US Embassy in Russia of all storage facilities at 9v Dorozhnaya ulitsa in Moscow and the summer residence in Serebryany Bor in this location.
