The cemetery holds 490 graves of World War I.
117 graves are not identified, the soldiers who are resting here perished in the months September and October of 1914.
Besides the 490 Belgian soldiers buried here, there are 42 graves of the commonwealth of World War II.
Behind the cemetery is a monument created by the German artist George Kolbe.
Until 1956 there was a German Cemetery here that has been moved to Vladslo (BE).
