First established in 1929 at the corner of Meldrum and Milloy in a frame building shared with the school, it wasn't until 1954 that a new Modern Gothic church was erected at the present location. Initially built to accomodate 600, further additions have increased the capacity to 750. After a fire in 1978 a new church was built in 1980.
