East Williamsburg (New York City, New York)

 neighbourhood, draw only border

East Williamsburg is a sub-neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. This name only came into common usage in the mid-late 2000s when the gentrification of Williamsburg proper started extending east and south, into Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant. Whereas, East Williamsburg is still largely industrial, though it has seen many loft conversions in old factories and warehouses as of late.

  • "This name only came into common usage in the mid-late 2000" this is a common false talking point.
