architecture - Do not use this category, neighbourhood, modernism
Glenbrook Valley was established in Southeast Houston in 1954. This neighborhood has one of the largest concentrations of intact midcentury modern homes in the city. Many of the residences in the neighborhood were custom-built and reflect not only the optimism of the post-atomic age but the drive towards modernism in the post-war era.
