Brahmanpad Village

Brahmanpad is one of the prominent villages famous for its cultural superiority of Barkosh area. The unique Harihar Kruta Shri Ramalila Utsav which is organised every year during Ram Navami by the Barkosh Ram Lila Sanskrutik Sansad and celebrated whole heartedly by the people of the central Orissa makes the village to find a place in the cultural map of the state.In addition, the people of this area also celebrate the famous Danda Nrutya and recreational folk dance Dalkhai, with great pride and admiration. The village accomodates one of the best High Schools of the district, Shri Birupakshya High School named after the Lord Birupakshya,the famous deity whose temple located at Chakapad and also an old establised primery health centre since early seventies.
