Mugonero mission is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist church. The mission includes the Mugonero Hospital (Hôpital de Mugenero) and the Mugonero School of Nursing (Ecole de Sciences Infirmières de Mugonero), which includes a secondary school; a public health centre, and the headquarters of the West Rwanda Association of Seventh-day Adventists.
