Kaipara Bar/Entrance

The Kaipara Harbour was important in the mid to late 19th Century, but the bar was always a formidable barrier for shipping. Improved road transport, and the decline of native timber logging, have laft it devoid of shipping.

My ships have been wrecked on the bar, and it is still dangerous.
