trail, railway

A scenic peaceful place to walk, run, bike or jump in the Farmington River (maybe even x-country ski in the winter). The Boy Scouts have added historical information about the area at various points along the river. Parking is located near the intersection of Route 4 and 179 or between Burlington and Collinsville along Route 179.
Additions are being added to the north and south. The northern addition was completed in 2006, however one must walk on Arch Road for a while (a mile or so) before reaching Collinsville, the small historic town where the trail picks up again.
If you want a bite to eat or a quick drink, stop at LaSalle's in Collinsville or hit the Collinsville Bakery for some ice cream!
