Matala is a Village and Municipality in the Province of Huila, Angola.
It is bordered to the North by the Municipality of Chicomba to the East by the Municipalities of Jamba and Cuvelai, South by the Municipalities of Ombadja and Cahama, and to the West by the Municipalities of Chiange, Quipungo and Caluquembe. It comprises the Communes of Matala, Capelongo, Micosse and Mulondo.
