This canal flows through Mt. Trashmore park and connects to the Chesapeake Bay via Thalia Creek and the Lynnhaven Inlet.
It is tidle.
It hosts such wildlife as turtles (painted, red-eared and red-bellied sliders, snapping, mud, and spotted), snakes, fish, frogs, toads, ducks, blue and green herons, and great egrets. Blue crabs from the Bay are seen occaisionally.
It can be accessed by foot from Presidential Blvd.
