Can you imagine working at area 51 as a gas station attendant? Well, not quite that, but still, fueling "aircraft" at Groom Lake must be an INTERESTING job. You think?

I would imagine the pilots do it themselves as to protect classified information from those who don't need to know. If there was someone doing it then they could quite possibly need the highest security clearance on the base as they would see and interact with some/all of the classified aircraft at the base.

Pilots wouldn't accomplish this. Just refueling an aircraft at this location does not require a POL troop (contractor) to have a TS/SCI. The aircraft aren't open to be viewed in the crew compartment and the POL operator does not have any operational knowledge other than the amount and type of fuel needed.
