Berkley - Dighton Bridge

Third bridge on the site (first 1801-1853; second 1873-1895), built 1896. It is a single lane, swing-span bridge which connects the towns of Berkley to the east and Dighton to the west. It is the only bridge over the Taunton River between Weir Street in Taunton and the Brightman Street Bridge between Somerset and Fall River, a distance of 12-1/2 miles.

The state is currently in the design phase of making a replacement.
