Newport Station in Gwent South Wales should not be confused with Newport Station in Essex. This Welsh station is the primary rail access point and interchange for the town of Newport. The station is an important one in this area of Wales with a great variety of trains running through the facility and an ability to change to a selection of lines. Newport station is currently served by three train operating companies: Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry and First Great Western.
