  Adidome, previously without any industrial base and with very high unemployment, is now the home of a revived small-scale ceramics, clay brick and roof tile industry, which employs around 30 people. The Adidome Ceramics company location is based on the large deposits of high quality clays adjacent to the Volta River in Adidome. However longstanding land disputes remain a common problem in Adidome and these are a major factor restricting investment in new projects in the area.
