Ruined monastery in Lhazê county, chin. Juenang Si, Jiaolang Si. It is reconstructed in parts ad houses now an Gelugpa nunnery.
This monastery was the former seat of the Jonang order of Tibetan Buddhism, an order that was suppressed at the time of the 5th dalai Lama, its scriptures being confiscated and locked in, the monasteries closed down or converted into Gelugpa monasteries.
