The quintessential Grafton Common is perhaps one of the most picturesque and historic settings in New England. Its Historic District is composed of historic churches and an old tavern, country store and lovely quaint shops. Its bandstand was built for the 1935 MGM movie, "Ah, Wilderness" and is used for summer concerts, including the beloved Independence Day evening concert with the 1812 Overture.
