Founded in 1929 as the German Canadian Association by the local German community, the name of the organization was changed in 1935 to Teutonia to encompass all German speaking people no matter where they originated. Originally located on Langlois Avenue the club relocated to the present clubhouse built in 1954 and expanded in 1966.

With a membership of over 300, the club offers cultural activities including dancing, chorus singing as well as sports. Also featured are three large banquet facilities which can accomodate from 130 to 500 people.
