Chattabal Chowk

The area chattabal is located along the river jehlum.The place were from the Haji sahiban used to commence their holy journey to Mecca via Azad kashmir,Afghanistan,Iran Iraq:the days when the means of transport was horse-carts.It is home town of Ex CM G.M Shah.

Gulam Dynasty.The most nobel and famous Family in the kashmir are still staying there.Any one can tell you about this family. Chattabl means Bank Of Oasis.Most Intersting about this area is that you will find oldest Chinar tree is still standing there.

I think Fayaz Sahab is right,the oldest Chinar tree in Chattabal is located in the proximity of Ram Mandir commonly known as Bohri Mandir near Dream Land school
