Opened in 1976 with much fanfare as the world's largest mall. Started to decline due crime & poverty. JCPenney closed in 2001. Dillard's closed in 2003. Macy's closed in 2008. Sears closed in 2009. O Theater closed in 2008 and the Malls interior was closed off. The mall was torn down in 2015. LaSalle Furniture closed in 2016.
