Block D, the former site of the Kingston Locomotive Works, is the site of several Homestead apartment buildings and condominiums, one of which is completed and one of which is currently under construction. It formerly sat as a vacant lot for many years; it was once the proposed site of an arena similar to the LVEC which is currently under construction to the north. A new city water front park will be located at the south end of the site.
