railway bridge, suspension bridge
The only Czech preserved Chain suspension bridge is an important technical monument. It was built between 1847 to 1848 in at this time fashionable style of the Empire through the valley of the Vltava river near the village Podolí. In 1960, before filling of the Orlik dam was dismantled and rescued, then it was built from original parts near the village Stádlec across the river Lužnice. Most measures 157 meters and has been made operational in 1974 again.
