Evelyn Greer Park (formerly Pinecrest Park) is an active ten acre park with multipurpose athletic fields (softball and soccer), batting cages, a tot lot, and a recreation center and community gazebo. The park also has an Internet Wi-Fi Spot. The Village Council initiated discussions regarding the acquisition of the property for the development of the park in 1998. After a series of public and community meetings, the Village Council approved the master plan for the park on March 9, 1999. Construction of the park began on January 25, 2000 and was completed within one year. The Village Council dedicated the facility as "Pinecrest Park" on January 27, 2001. The park was re-designated as the "Evelyn Langlieb Greer Park" by the Village Council on November 9, 2004 in recognition of the contributions and accomplishments of the Village's first mayor. The park was highlighted as one of the best playgrounds in South Florida by Parenting Magazine in 2005.
