  • Home of the Golden Sandstorm. Students are nicknamed "Sandies"
  • A school that people would like to believe has a good reputaton, but in fact does not. High drug usage(not as much as the others EX. PALO DURO, CAPROCK). A lot of arrests. My son went here and one time a student brought a gun to the school left it in his vehicle and threatened several other students with it and it never made news, the staff had not informed the parents. Im glad we moved a year later from amarillo. If your child goes here PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE OFFICE STAFF, THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIER JOB AND LOSE RECORDS OF STUDENTS. WE WENT THROUGH HELL TRYING TO OBTAIN THEM. WE KEEP EVERYTHING ON RECORD NOW. THE SCHOOL ALSO HIDES ALL THE SERIOUS BAD THINGS, SUCH AS THE GUN THAT WAS FOUND, STEROID USE, AND DRUG BUSTS. I GUESS THEY WANT TO KEEP A FAKE REPUTATION ABOUT THEMSELVES. GOD BLESS AND GOOD LUCK.
