The college established on 3rd August 2007. The first principal of this college is Dr.Narayan Chandra Maity. Right now Prof. Raghu Sen is in-charge of this college.In 2008 the college got three Honours Subject (English, Bengali and History). The available pass subjects are English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Geography, Music, Political Science, History. IGNOU open a new office in this college. The available subjects for IGNOU are BCA, BLISc.
