Texas A&M University Agricultural Research Station, formerly located on this parcel, has been closed. The land is still owned by the University and is now leased to Brazoria County. The Brazoria County Master Gardeners Association maintains a small portion of the land as the Brazoria County Environmental Education Station ("BEES"). The Brazoria County Parks Department plans to develop a 160-acre parcel as a County Park.
