Mhapral Ambet Bridge

This bridge between Mhapral(Tal-Mandangad,Dist-Ratnagiri) and Ambet(Tal-Mhasla,Dist-Raigad) was built by the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Advocate AbdulRehman Antulay in the mid 1980s as a gift to his constituency.
The bridge greatly reduced the distance and time of travel between remote place in Mandangad and Dapoli taluka like Bankot, Velas, Kelshi Mandangad, Anjarle etc from Mangaon (and hence from Bombay).
Before the bridge was built, in order to reach these places one would have to go from Mangaon to Mahad to Khed and then to Mandangad or Dapoli.
The bridge has reduced the distance by a good 80-100kms and a 2 hour saving in time.

  • SINCE 1990 AMBET BRIDGE WERE NOT REPAIR THE CONDITION OF THE SAID BRIDGE IS NOT AS GOOD, i appeal to the maharashtra govt to sent inspection for bridge and do the needfull
