Calmay Ilocano ( a very depressed area in Barangay Calmay)

The former Barangay Chairman of Calmay lives here. She consented the accumulation of squatters in this area for the purpose of additional voting population in her favor. Squatters in this area swelled under her three(3) terms. They are not originally from Barangay Calmay nor from Dagupan City evidently by the language they speak. They, as well as the squatters in the riverbanks of Barangay Pantal, pose a great danger to the whole barangay and the nearby Barangay Carael, if not the entire Dagupan City, in case the river swells just like what is happening around the Municipalities surrounding the Laguna De Bay. The houses, literally standing in the river, throw their waste in the river and will hamper the flow of the river in the event a flood occur. I hope the present administration of Dagupan City will resolve this problem immediately.
