Hobart Bosworth/William Powell/Albert Broccoli's House (former)

Originally built for early film star Hobart Bosworth in a Spanish Hacienda-style. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobart_Bosworth - c. 1926. William Powell - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Powell - purchased property in 1933. Powell in turn, with architect James E. Dolena, turned estate into a white Moderne version of then fasionable neo-Georgian classicism. One of the first "teardowns" in the history of Beverly Hills. In the renovation Powell aded a new wall around the property with a gate so pal and neighbor Richard Barthelmess{Waverly} wouldn't have to walk around the block. Later owned by Academy Award-winning film producer, Albert Broccoli, produced more than 40 movies, most notable as the producer of the iconic James Bond series, lived here.
