During the Desilu era this was Stages 8 and 9, where I Love Lucy, Our Miss Brooks, and Gomer Pyle were filmed. During the General Services era, it was stage 1 and 2 and during the Ren-Mar era was stages 8 and 9.

  • I love Lucy and Gomer Pyle I believe were both on this stage.
  • Yes, you are right about I Love Lucy. I have pictures of lines aound the block of people waiting to get inside for the live filming.
  • I have heard that Gomer Pyle and Andy Griffith were both shot here at this facility (not necessarily on this stage). Though I don't have any evidence, I would think that shooting at the DesiLu Culver City lot (now Culver Studios) would have been the better choice, as the exteriors for both series were shot there. Would have made better economic and logistic sense.
