The three terminals at KCI (MCI) are in a semi-circle design, allowing for easy access from entrances to the gates. When it was designed it was state of the art, and was to be for runner of airport design. However, due to new security issues it has proved to be problematic. Delta Flight 154 LAS-JFK made a stop here to fuel back back up to continue toward JFK Airport
