"True North" Golf Lodge (Angeles City)

This is the new golf lodge at the top of a hill, for the "true north" golf course. Photos are from the lodge's view east and some of the holes just below it, which were completed at this time (Nov 2000).

In Nov 2000, work on the lodge and the back none holes were in progress. Those spread toward the old Grissom school). "True North" is the name of the development company in that part of the base. They appeared to have rights to the westernmost housing on the hill area. Clark ave was the dividing line between the two main developer properties up there.

The lodge was brand spanking new, with plastic still covering the poured concrete and shiny brass fittings on the wood inside. It was built log cabin style and has a marvelous view. The parking lot was still dirt and appears they didn't develop that before the project died for some reason. You can still see the white sand in some of the overgrown sand traps, so looks like they were nearly finished with the back nine just before it was abandoned. (Alot of development projects have been abandoned there - this one must have been expensive.)
Note that this is not the main Clark golf course. That one (Mimosa?) can be seen across the street to the right (east) if you zoom out. The clean white sand traps shows it is being maintained.
