water, canal junction

Former junction with Two Lock Line.
The Two Lock Line was built in 1858 to cut across to Woodside Junction on the Dudley No 1 canal, bypassing Blowers Green and saving about a mile in the process. Mining subsidence was a problem from the beginning (the canal fell into old workings in 1894) and the line was closed as a result in 1909.
