RNAS Crail, Royal Naval Air Station Crail, was a World War II airfield located to the east of Crail, and designated as HMS Jackdaw II.

Use of the site as an airfield dates from World War I, when it served as a Royal Flying Corp (RFC) training depot from 1918 to 1919.

  • AKA HMS Jackdaw. Most of the original military installations are still there, in particular the control tower. Now primarily used for motor sports events and a Sunday car boot sale.
  • Crail Airfield is now used as a quarter mile drag strip and drifting oval at the infamous 'Crail Thrash'. For more information, see; http://www.crailraceway.co.uk/
