There used to be a "kadavu" which needed a boat to ferry across earlier.Then the residents of this area decided to have a community boat.Then with the help of the people an earthern bund was created.Nalunnakkal and Cheeranchira was susequently connected with a rudimentary bridge made of coconut.Subsequently the present bridge was constructed.
