mt. intingban derived its name from the karay-a dialect, the root word is tinigban or "chiselled" because of the peculiar shape of it peak which appeared to have been delicately chiselled to shape. it is believed to have been chiselled by natives which during their time their body size are normal but if compared to the cotemporary humans, they are supergiants. they are called in the local dialect as "bungaitans." there are actually two peaks but are mistakenly considered as one because when viewed in the poblacion of bugasong, they appear to be conjoined mountains. they appear almost ultra-marine blue from this vanrage point. the mountain is good for climing especially during summer and easter season. treking it on holy friday can give the climber one good opportunity to acquire anting-anting {talisman}.
