This is a ranch owned by the Zapata-Salazar family that produces; livestock, grain, maize, beans, chili peppers, tomatoes, and squash. It was acquired from the patriarch of the family Don Alfonso Zapata Guerrero. Currently, the 26 hectare (64 acres)farm has two wells and three large reservoir tanks that permit for year round cultivation.
