  I don't know who is getting this message, and if it will land on the right desk. One of the greatest lessons is taking place as I write this. A major merchandising mistake! If you look on any Lexus new car lot right now, the presentation for such a great vehicle is STALE & BORING! There is no color! There is Black, Smokey Granite, Silver, and White in all product lines. If an ES customer doesn't want white, and has a silver car, and wants a light color, they are out of luck. The presentation is too narrow and deep. I understand the economy, but without any color or fashion is the high-line, you lose out. Color equals excitement, color equals presentation, color equals strong concept. In order for someone to buy something, they have to buy into the concept. This WILL produce more black, smokey, silver & white sales for sure, but the presentation got them there. I would lay odds that Lexus isn't missing any sales in black, smokey, silver and white. But what % is Lexus down, and what % is Lexus missing in fashion colors? There is a crossover threshold. Since I do not have the numbers, I can't tell you where that is. But if I did have the numbers I could tell you. Someone that is seeing a mistake, M.S.
