Resources Development Consultants Limited [RDC], incorporated in 1976 as a limited liability company, is today a leading multi-disciplinary consulting firm in Sri Lanka. The Executive Directors of the firm are qualified and experienced professionals engaged full-time in leading the operational divisions and activities of the organisation.
RDC is registered with all major international funding agencies such as the Asian Development Bank, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, the World Bank and the UNDP, and in addition to the extensive experience in Sri Lanka possess work experience in 19 developing countries; namely, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China PDR, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, The Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Somalia, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Western Samoa and Yemen PDR.
The Executive Directors form the Core Management Committee of the firm. The ten divisions within the Firm function under the supervision of Executive Directors who maintain a close liaison with the client organisations and represent the Firm at all review meetings. These ten divisions include Irrigation and Water Resources Division, Water Supply and Sanitation Division and a Division for addressing Environmental Issues.
RDC's full time professional staff includes Engineers in the Highway and Irrigation Sectors, Agriculturists, Economists, Sociologists, Architects, Urban and Rural Planners, Management, Financial, Institutional and Human Resource Development Specialists. In addition to the permanent staff, RDC has over 500 professionals registered with the Firm and is able to draw on the expertise of these independent consultants from developed and developing nations to provide support to the full time professional staff and to serve as team members where necessary.
