  • My community too is originally from the Bhag-Nari region. We were originally two tribes that lived on the banks of the Bhag river and the Nari river. The community merged to call themselves Bhagnari. We moved from there to Karachi and post partition to India. I know very little of my roots, except that the language we speak in Multani, even though we are from the Bhagnari community. Anyone know anything of this community?

  • We are around 300 families settled in Mumbai during partition in 1947. We are second generation raised in Mumbai, all settled in mainly Shivaji Park.
  • There are around 300 bhagnari families in Dubai as well.
  • We are bhagnaris too and there is a bhagnari panchayat in Bombay, ChunnaBhatti..I dont know if what we speak is multani, but what i do understand that it is a mix of Sindhi and punjabi and some of its own unique words too.
