The Davis Building is a 20-story neoclassical building constructed from 1925 to 1926. The building, originally named the Republic National Bank Building, stands 323 ft (98 m) tall and was designed by C.D. Hill & Company. A 20-story addition, designed by Coburn & Fowler Architects, was built in 1931. The Republic National Bank occupied the building from 1926 to 1954, after which, it was given its current name. The building became vacant in 1992

The Davis Building was renovated from March 2002 to September 2003. The building now contains 183 apartment units and ground-floor retail.

The building was designated as a Dallas Landmark on May 27, 1998 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 18, 2006.
