The former corporate office of SMI-Hyundai in Libya. The company was responsible for defrauding the Libyan government of multi-millions of dollars by falsely representing to perform contract construction works for the ODAC valued at approximately $5 billion. When the first contract payment was received from the Libyan government, the principals absconded and fled back to their safe-countries in Germany, Korea and Dubai. The company was underwritten by the psuedo-American company called SMI (controlled by Chairman M.K. Kim, a Korean national) and the Korean partner Hyundai RNC.
