Emperor Ashoka's Inscription of Palki Gundu.

This is an important archaeological site known as Palki Gundu. It is located at a distance of four miles from Gavimath. This inscription in Prakit language dates back to the 3rd century BC.

The hill on which Palki Gundu is located is known as Indrekeela Betta. The hill offers are good view of Koppal fort and town.
