Suceava International Airport is situated in Salcea to 12 km east from Suceava and 30.5 km west from Botoşani, road acces beeing possible using a concrete road access with 3 km length and 7 m width, connected to D.N. 29 that unite the two cities.
The first flights on "Stefan cel Mare" - Suceava Airport were begun in 1962, and since 1963 that flights profited by concrete runway, approach lightning system and embarkment/debarkation apron for passengers and cargo.
