Just inside the Grunewald forest, it's a small lake with no apparent source or drain! (The water filters in and back out underground, through the gravel. VERY clean!) Popular swimming & picnic location, there are large areas of grass for sunbathing and a nearby café at the old waterworks building. There's parking and there are lifeguards on duty in the summer.
A traditional FKK (naturist/nudist) location, it's usually pretty busy with families as well as couples, singles and groups of young people and NEVER feels in any way threatening or seedy. There tends to be more nudity towards the south end of the lake but be prepared to see naked people wherever you are. There's a derelict Cold War listening station with distinctive radomes on the nearby hill and there are lots of lovely paths for walking and cycling through the surrounding forest.
