Park is part of the State of CT DEP Scantic State Parks. The trail has 1 mile loop trail along the Scantic river with beautiful views of the river up to Stockers farm and around Stowe pond. The red trail branches off the loop trail and runs ½ mile along a historic canal and remnants of the Hazardville Powder Company. The bridge is where the annual Spring Splash canoe/kayak race finishes. Across the street you will see the 1856 Red Powder Mill barn.
